Tracy & Kieran

Tracy and Kieran met in Immaculate Conception chapel to join together as husband and wife. The bride met her handsome groom in a beautiful dress dotted with trails of elegant flowers and a flowing veil, creating a romantic fantasy ambience. The bridesmaids, in their chic violet dresses, accentuated the violet hues of the groomsmen’s suits. Despite being married on a cold day in December, the couple brought warmth to their family and friends as they celebrated in An Grianan hotel, and the photos show that beautiful warmth.

Here are some of my favourite photos of their special day. Please feel free to view and leave any comments.

Breda and Daniel

On the final breath of summer, August 3rd 2013, Breda and Daniel became a newly married man and wife. I had the privilege to be apart of their big day as I captured their most special moments from the morning right through to the evening.  The elegant bride wore a crisp white dress with with added touches of lace that also embellished her wedding cake later at the reception. She wore a jewelled hairpiece that caught the light beautifully and held, in her bouquet, a cluster of  delicate white roses. The bridesmaids complemented the bride in their flowing lilac dresses, and her flower girl wore a white dress with a simple elegant band of lilac around her waist, accentuating both the colours of the dresses worn by bridesmaids and the bride. The groom and his groomsmen wore suits of a timeless and 'gentleman' nature. After the new couple were united in matrimony at Brocan Church in Culdaff, they travelled, in a  quirky vintage yellow beetle, to Ballyliffin beach for some additional photos before heading onto their reception to celebrate their marriage at The Strand Hotel, Ballyliffin.

Here are some of my favourite photos of their special day. Please feel free to view and leave any comments.

Rachelle & Jonathan

On a sunny and crisp September day, the equally sunny and vivacious couple, Rachelle and Jonathan tied the knot at Strabane Parish. The gorgeous bride wore a beautifully laced dress, encompassing all that a bride should be; elegant and timeless. Her lovely bridesmaids wore soft orange coloured dresses that were just as elegant as the bride. The strapping groomsmen and groom looked every part the gentlemen that they were. After the the lovely exchange of vows the newly married coupled celebrated, with family and friends, at the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey, Donegal. Here are some of my favourite photos of their special day. Please feel free to view and leave any comments.

Jessica - Beech Hill Hotel, Derry

Jessica is a teenage musician with a natural flare for music and songwriting. She is part of a local band and is known for her talent. On a beautiful Autumn day I took a few promotional photos of her on the grounds of the Beech Hill Hotel, Derry. I captured images of Jessica in a natural pose of holding her guitar. The naturalism of her clothes and colours of her guitar reflected the Autumnal surrounding of the hotel's grounds. Have a look at Jessica's photos and let us know what you think. _MG_9552_MG_9563_MG_9721_MG_9735_MG_9545_MG_9537_MG_9506

Desmond Doherty's Valberg

'Valberg', is the debut novel from local Derry man and established lawyer,Desmond Doherty. I had the privilege to take Desmond's photo for his book. The story is based in our very own Derry city with a dark ambience of thriller and crime with our protagonist, Jon Valberg. Valberg takes the reader through the historic of Derry with his vigilant team in search for an "brutal assassin"...but Jon is closer to this ominous individual than he realises. Ciara & Stephen - Jackson's Hotel, Ballybofey

Last July saw Ciara and Stephen become a newly married couple in Derry's stunningly ornate Long Tower Chapel. The beautiful ambience of the chapel added to the momentous event of marriage that was being witnessed by the friends of family of the handsome couple. The Wedding party were dressed in co-ordinated colours of an ethereal silver grey that softly complemented the elegance of the bride. The bride wore an intricately laced dress reminiscent of a royal scene. Adding to the enchanting scene was the fairy-like flower girl who wore a crown of flowers. The couple proceeded to Jackson's hotel in Ballybofey to celebrate their exchange of vows and the beginning of their new life as man and wife. Here is the full album of  this handsome couple. Please let us know what do you think of them!

Jade - Model Portfilio-Derry

Jade's Mother phoned me recently asking me to take a few shots of her daughter before she went off to university.   When I met Jade I noticed her beautiful blue eyes and red hair. This was a perfect opportunity for myself to capture candid photos of the beautiful Jade without much make up or fashion input. It was also the perfect time for Jade to have photos taken before the rush of University life. The naturalism of the photos, with Jade's minimal makeup and basic, yet chic choice of clothing, created a beautiful scene capturing the reality of life.

I wanted to take some casual posed photos that exuded Jade's lovely personality and the relaxed environment surrounding her.

Here are some my favourite images of the session and please let us know what do you think of them!

Derry City-Trabzonspor UEFA Europa League (Qualifying Round 2) Second Leg

Derry City were sent crashing out of the Europa League as Trabzonspor ran out clear winners at the Brandywell.

Paulo Henrique scored a second-half brace to put the tie beyond doubt before substitute Abdulkadir Ozdemir added a third in injury time.

The scoreline was harsh on Declan Devine's men who twice went close through Ruaidhri Higgins headers before Henrique broke the deadlock.

The home side had

dominated the first half against the strangely subdued Turkish Super Lig outfit, and created an excellent chance to reduce the two-goal deficit.

Higgins played a stunning ball to Eoghan Osbourne on the left and got on the end of the full-back's deep cross, but his header was well saved by Onur Kivrak.

Two minutes before the interval, Derry were cut open for the first time and had Simon Madden to thank for an excellent goal-line clearance.

Polish international Adrian Mierzejewski sent Volkan Sen racing clear, and with his goalbound shot having cannoned off Gerard Doherty, Madden was on hand to hook clear.

After Higgins had a looping header tipped over by Kivrak from a Paddy Kavanagh corner, Trabzonspor - featuring five full internationals in their starting team - killed off the tie in the 56th minute.

The ball broke to Mierzejewksi after a scramble on the edge of the area, and his scuffed shot fell to Henrique to stroke into an empty goal.

With the Candystripes pushing for an equaliser, Sen got in behind Osbourne on the right and crossed for the outstanding Henrique to drive a low shot past Doherty after 81 minutes.

In stoppage time, Henrique turned provider to tee up substitute Ozdemir - the Turkish international making no mistake with a fine strike into the bottom corner from 20 yards to complete the rout.

Sonia & Shaun -Inishowen Gateway Hotel ,Buncrana

Sonia and Shaun, living in London, decided to come home to Ireland to tie the knot on New Year's Eve. The eve of the first day of the New Year began in the historically rich Island of Inch, Donegal. A place that seems separate from the rest of the world; beautiful, enchanted, and apt for Sonia and Shaun exchanging their vows, transitioning them into the union of marriage. With their bridesmaids, wearing the fresh colour of navy blue matching the groom, and creating a striking, yet complementary, contrast against the brilliant white of Sonias's beautifully elaborate fish-tale wedding dress, and four flower girls, that could have been easily mistaken as angels, they made their way to the Island as Man and Woman and left as Husband and Wife, and always remembering Inch as the place where they joined together on the eve of 2013. Leaving the Island as a newly married couple, they went to the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, where they celebrated their new life with family and friends. On they way to their Wedding Reception the bridal party made a stop at the quaint surroundings of ‘The Red Door’ in the ambient Fahan, another scenic place of Donegal, for their wedding photos. There I captured the spirit and joy of the newly formed marriage of Sonia and Shaun who began their newly married life on the final day of 2012 and beginning their new life in 2013,a year already marked with the most special occasion of marriage. Here are some my favourite images of the day and please let us know what do you think of them!
